On my cultural day trip i managed to go Whitechapel & see Elizabeth Peyton, which was impressive, i like her work alot as when you look at her pictures there is no pretence that they are paintings just paintings, each brush stroke is seen and evident, she has an amazing use of colours in some pictures. Then it was off to the White Cube to see Gilbert & George which was interesting, I always have liked their work and the way they explore certain areas of the human being and protest against the unjust. Then i ended up at southbank the mediatheque to finish watching Derek Jarman's Caravaggio, i like both the latter and formers work intensely. The former is another indie film maker i admire & the latter is an artist who's poetically dark vision captivates me and toys with my soul. Then it was off to the ICA to watch Beautiful Loser's which was soooo inspiring.
