JAIDEN RVA JAMES- RIPPED OFF ????????????

I would like to firstly state that i nor rasharn the other half of jaiden rva james have no problem with ebony bones but wat we do have a problem with is that are designs have been ripped off. Are first collection was inspired by are african heirtage and are respect for the country (I am mixed with Nigerian). Ebony Bones a british singer seems to like are collection so much that she decided to use are fabrics not one but two of the fabrics we used for s/s 08 for her show, it hurts beacuse we are young designers and getting ripped off like this is something u expect from topshop being inspired by chloe or luella, not from a performance artist, who didnt even approach us at all and then we hear things from people like i didnt know u did womenswear and hurtful comments like you guys should stick to menswear, i have trained in fashion for far to long and know what flatters the female form and what does not,

ignore what people say about you sticking to menswear, etc! most of the most highly celebrated names in fashion are men! i believe male designers appreciate the female body much more than female designers, so that`s why men are always so good at designing for women!
& if people rip you off & take your stuff, shrug it off & come up with something better. use it to your advantage. it sucks, but it`s true - there`s not a lot that can be done now that it`s happened already. just hope it never happens again.

She's amazing. But I've seen her perform in these outfits from last year. Are you sure you arent the ones doing the ripping off?

HAHA! I'VE SEEN THE SAME GHANAIAN PRINTS IN PECKHAM FOR A TENNER - ARE U CLAIMING TO HAVE PRINTED THOSE TOO? LOL!!!!!!!!!

Mmm.. Come on now guys..
u cant go around taking credit for prints you havent actually designed yourselves. I mean if these were your prints, how would anyone else get hold of them?

tut-tut shame on you.

Im a designer myself and print my own material. People like you just give hard- working designers like me a bad name.

ps We saw Ebony Bones wear these same outfits way back in spring with Grace Jones at The Royal Festival Hall. They ROCK!

'it hurts beacuse we are young designers and getting ripped off like this is something u expect from topshop being inspired by chloe or luella'

I agree with Dirrty Jeans. Never heard of you both, but saw Ebony Bones' bulletin with a photo of the material store where the prints were bought and a pic of the same material worn in Ghana/Africa. You are both just two fake designers who've been outed.

Whats ironic is that you're trying to take the credit from some poor African print designer who's the REAL person behind your fake designs. Your as bad as that liar on X-Factor. hahaha..

Thank you Jae, iam not saying we printed the fabrics but we still had the mind to go out and pick out of thousands of AFRICAN fabrics a selected few only to see the same selection on the performance artist yes we never printed the fabrics we are young designers doing are thing and good for you if you are prinitng your own fabrics sounds fun but iam making the use of the resources available to us it is very hurtful but yes gd luck to you and gd luck to those dresses beacuse it is the past and all i wanted to do is let people know that they where not are dresses its a new season and new collection we have moved on hope you have to xox

I actually had the pleasure of meeting ebony bones and her band at their fantastic show in NY this w/e. I cant explain how creative and inspirational they all are to watch. You failed to mention in your 'sob blog' that you never even designed the print, but was quick to bring down a sister doing her thing. Your shit aint even hawt!

....I think you guys are very much deluding yourselves. I doubt very much Ebony Bones would want to be associated in any way with so called Nigerian "UNCLE TOMS"..From the research i have done she would very much be "DE-MEANING" herself by using prints associated with your kind..If by some remote co-incidence she happens to buy a print which is obviously a Mass produced print sold largely in EVERY African store, you should be "Honoured" and not try to HATE on a sister in this way. Anyway did you know that if this is your print, as you claim, THE DUTCH ARE RIPPING YOU OFF,as thats where its coming from, not to mention Thailand. GROW UP AND SHUT UP...Put your energy into learning your craft and maybe even signing up for evening classes in English Language. I WISH YOU A PROSPEROUS FUTURE...By the way are you aware Ebony Bones wears frocks from £5 to "Couture" outfits of £20,000 as worn in previous TV Awards...

People only say things like that when threatened. If you weren't worth being knocked down a notch, they would have merely raised an eyebrow and laughed about it later.
they need to get off the haterade.

oh my days! i missed alot.

i think what it comes down to is that the person who actually used the fabric should of known better, being in the family (from what i hear) in the end of the day, if the fabric is off the shelf then u cant stop people liking it/usin it.. but who would want to use the fabric a label has used, unless they had no originality. we all want to do our own thing.. and lets face it us small guys have stiff competition out there.. when we start ripping each other off its scandelous.

Not all fashion designs are "textile Designers" and why should they be.. if people think that every designer designs there own fabrics they are mistaken.. just go through original route's so avoid this in the future.. or get a 3rd guy for the textiles.. but there are thousand of textile suppliers and trade shows out there.. move out of the high street and onto the trade shows.

xxk

Looks like standard African print...that you get down the market...what's the problem..LOL You didn't print it and the material is so easily accessible...you are deluding yourself...

Actually there is absolutely nothing unique or special about these designs...pretty basic!!
